Q. How do I register
to take this course?
A. From
ParentingChoice.com, click on the Register Now tab.
Registering and purchasing a ParentingChoice.com
membership is a simple process, but takes several steps.

The course timer seems to be off....
A. The timer on ParentingChoice.com is at the core of
our technology. Many hours have been spent both
developing and in testing the routines systematically
for accuracy. If the timer does not reflect the proper
time on your account, first restart your computer
completely and log back in. This will allow the computer
to reset. After this procedure, your timer may change to
reflect the proper time you have dedicated to the
course. Be aware of the following: If you simply logged
in to ParentingChoice.com and are not actively
navigating through the course, the website determines
that you are not at your terminal and will stop keeping
track of time until you restart your browser and log
back in. NOTE: if you do not have the latest version of
Microsoft internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox, or if
you are using a non-approved browser, we recommend that
you upgrade your computer before continuing the course.
Q.
Does ParentingChoice.com work on Apple computers?
A. Yes, however, you may need
to download the latest version of Windows Media Player -
Download Media Player for Apple so that you may stream the audio and video content without a problem.
Q.
I am using AOL to navigate through ParentingChoice.com, but am having trouble
with the website.
A. Although a customer is
able to take the ParentingChoice.com course using AOL as their browser, we highly
recommend using either Internet Explorer
or Mozilla
Firefox instead. If you have trouble either
navigating the website or viewing content while using
the AOL browser, you will have to contact AOL for
support.
Q. Do I have to take
this course in one sitting?
A. No.
ParentingChoice.com is designed so that you may take the
course at your own pace, and log on and off as often as
you would like. ParentingChoice.com will keep track of
the time you have accumulated and the sections you have
reviewed, even when you log off. You can view this
information under your profile.
Q. Can more than one
person take the course together and receive separate
certificates?
A. No.
ParentingChoice.com is designed so that each user must
purchase the course and complete the course
individually. Although anyone can pay for the course
only the registered user can receive a certificate. We
encourage you to refer as many people as you like but
each user must complete the course requirements
individually.
Q. I have completed
all the sections. Why am I not yet eligible for
graduation?
A. Under your profile,
check the amount of time you have spent reviewing the
course. You may not have accumulated the required 4
hours. According to the Florida Statute, everyone taking
a Parent Education & Family Stabilization course, must
attend for 4 hours. This course was written to take the
average reader 4 hours to complete. However, if you are
a fast reader or have completed the course in less time,
feel free to review any sections until you have
accumulated at least 4 hours of time. Then, you should
be eligible for graduation.
Q. I have completed
more than 4 hours on the website. Why am I not yet
eligible for graduation?
A. Under your profile,
check to see what sections you have reviewed. Often,
although people believe they have reviewed all the
sections, they are missing 1 or 2 sections. Remember,
'introduction' is considered a section. Be sure to
review the introduction - both the outline and the
subsequent introduction video.
Q. I am now eligible
for graduation. What do I do now to receive my
certificate?
A. Once you are eligible
for graduation, you should receive an e-mail
immediately, with your certificate attached. You may
print this certificate to use in your final hearing. You
may also view and print your certificate at anytime from
your profile when you are logged in. The
final step is to complete the
Exit Survey
to help us improve the quality of ParentingChoice.com.
Q. Will all Florida
courts accept this online course?
A.
ParentingChoice.com was approved by the Department of
Children and Families and all Florida courts accept this
